An Alliance with the Huron Empire

1.Alliance is an agreement between two or more parties, made in order to advance common goals and to secure common interests.

2.He had made a alliance with Hurons. It is because he attempted to form better relations with the local First Nations. He is not only alliance with Hurons. He also had alliance with Wendat, Algonquin.

3a. I can see from the picture a lot of people. left side are Hurons and person who standing in the middle is a knight. In side the forest there are a horse rider. I can see eight small ships. I think they didn't wear anything. They are fighting with eachother with arrow.I can see a river. That might be St.Lawrence River.

3b. I don't think this is a realistic image of their fighting.It is because they are look so unreal, the people and their plan for the battle. I think it is so impossible to make that stupid plan for fighting.It is somebody's drawing. People doesn't have hair during that time? I don't think so...

5.this is picure of georgian bay. I like these because it is to this place is similar to my grandfather's home. That place is so good, why i like that place is fresh air. It is something that hard find in city.

I think behind this picture there might be one loney person is standing in the stone...All in all i think artist is a person who like to be alone. This picture makes me sad,upset.

7a.I feel Canada is a place where is full in silence. This part makes me to think like that"grey and cloud-piled sky". I feel cool, feels like there are lot of winds, clouds, birds. I think this poem is about poet's thinking. It is because not everybody think that Canada has "grey and cloud-piled sky."However inside this lonely land, i can find beauty. Lonely is a different kind of charm.

8.I have learn about An Alliance with the Huron Empire. I also learned about a poem call <>. I also learned a painting by Frederick Varley.Now i kno0w a lot of things about new france and Canada. The things i had learn was so fun and intresting ...I hope next one is a fun work too.

After Port Royal - Champlain Continues

1.This is map of St. Lawrence river in Canada. I can see from this picture many things. St.Lawrence river has seperate in many other small river.It follow to Quebec city, it end with montreal. I think this river might be a important thing to portect.It is huge river.

2.This my favorite picture of st. lawrence river. It is because this picture looks beautiful. It also looks peaceful. I like peace, and when i old i will

live in a slient and peaceful mountain. In fact i don't like water so i won't live near the ocean...

3. He used St.Lawrence to transport. That is because it is near to anywhere.The New France was built in Quebec, and this river is right through Quebec. It is most comfortable way to transport. So he used this river for transportation.

4.I can see from this picture is letterH,M,R,C,P,A, B,X,G,I,it lok like a house, no it is a house.This is home of Champlain in Quebec.This house looks very big and warm. I think this house is for a rich man.It looks cool.

5b.That is because this cliff is not easy to climb. It can uses to protect from the enemy. It is kind of a shield.

6.I have learn about Port Royal. I also learned about nautral fort. It is lots of fun. Champlain's house,St.Lawrence river are pretty. I hope i can live in St.Lawrence with Champlain's old house.

1. Moat around Champlain's house is important. It is because he has lot of enemy?? I don't know why he had a moat in his house. However i think he has it because he wants to protect himself.

Samuel De Champlain - Port Royal

1.Monopoly mean to make something on their own. Samuel De Champlain want to monoploy on the fur trade. That is because he want to make money. When create a new colony, there is lots of things need. Money, People, lots of things. That time fur trade was a most well being job.

2. King want to set up French colonies because of course he want to make his country more strong. That time even now big land and more natural resources shows one's country is strong and powerful. King wanted to make French colonies in new land because he want to develop France.

3.These are picture of Port Royal,Nova Scotia.Iy looks like a house. Or a small castle.This Port Royal is made of wood It has 6 houses. Middle of it is kind of a garden.There are only one door that can go out side.There are even bakery. There are lots of room in there.

These are my favorite picture of Nova Scotia.First picture i like it because it looks peaceful. I am always hope that i can live in that kind of environiment...Ocean, beautiful house, own garden, two dogs and three cats, two children and there friends, beautiful wife. My hope .....

nationalty yet, but he looks like French. He has big nose and long hair. He looks like Mr.Deveto( one of SBS . eacher, he is not here now. He was here last last last semester.). He looks like noble too.

He was a French navigator, geographer, cartographer, draughtsman, soldier, explorer, ethnologist, diplomat, chronicler, and the founder of Quebec City on July 3, 1608, of which he was the administrator for the rest of his life. He is also known for Exploration of New France, foundation of Quebec City, Canada, being said "The Father of New France"...



2.He has relationship with Canada. Because he is the one who built a city Quebec which is now oldest city of Canada. He built Quebec as a New France. He is important to Canada because he built Quebec city.

3.In 1603 he had his first voyage. 24 – Elizabeth I of England dies and is succeeded by her cousin's grandson, King James VI of Scotland, uniting the crowns of Scotland and England.

4.This is picture of Champlain's route of voyage.What we can see from this map is he was traveling Great Lake. He had two voyage.He had across the Rivers and discovered new place.

5.At first he was a fur trader. He explore because he wanted to settle the Gaspe Peninsula.

6.He used fur trade ship to have his voyage. He joined the fur trade members and he explore to North America.

REFLECTION

1.i have learned about lots of things. In canadian study, i came to school little late than other students. i have learned about who is John Cabot what he used to do. Also i have learned about Jacques Cartier - The French Explorer. Viking was fun to learn. I have learned many word in wordly wise 2. I finished it already. We have wrote lots of ESSAY...



2.My most memorable lesson was essay man. That was really fun. At first they want me to do the essay man. But i say Austin is better than me. I said: "He can do better than anyone in this class." Finally he is decided to be a essay man. However, that was my idea to do essay man. nobody were think of that. That will be more fun if Austin took his clothes all up.

3.My life changed not much. It is like usual.Homework, classwork, Reading log is new.i have changed not much i am still lazy and pretty much the same.

4.My plan for study is to study hard and get A+ in the final exam. I am doing good these day right? I don't see comic book these day i only do work in computer lab. So don't give a bad MARK please~ I am getting really better.

5.At first i didn't do my best in class. But i started to do my best in class these days. I don't sleep i don't eat things in class, only drink something... I am doing my best in everything.

1. I just want to tell you that i am doing better and don't give me a bad mark. I think you minus to much mark on little things... If it's not than i am sorry and i am going to do better everyday...

Exploration can create Conflict and Misunderstanding

Exploration is the act of searching or traveling a terrain for the purpose of discovery. In many countries they want to show off their bravery and to develop their society, they send explorer to the ocean. Once they discovered new land and new people, it brings money and many natural resources. Natural resources make their country’s society to grow bigger and rich. However exploration can create conflict and misunderstanding with the first nation people in new land, because of difference between their cultures. Also misunderstanding of natural resources.


Exploration might create a conflict because of difference between their cultures. For example, when John Cabot first arrived at the Newfoundland. First nation people might shock at their appearance and stuffs they have. Some nation people might think that they came because they want to kill them all. Their language is different so they cannot communicate with each other, only in body language. Some ambitious explorer might just have fight with first nation people and kill them all and get what he wanted. Another example is explorers are trying to teach them their language and their technology such as use chopsticks to eat, build a stone house. But First nation people might wonder why they should learn these things. They might refuse them because they think there is no necessity for learning that things. It might cause a big conflict.

Exploration is really impotent to countries because in the new land, there might have lots of natural resources like Africa, but it is cause of misunderstanding to each other. For example, explorer arrived in a new land and there are many natural resources such as gold, oil… They might want to exchange some food with natural resources. First nation people might misunderstand that explorers are not trying to exchange but to take it from them. First nation people will get them away from their place.

All in all, exploration can create conflict and misunderstanding, because of difference between their cultures. Also misunderstanding of natural resources. It is important to discover a new land, but it is more important that have a good communication with the person who lived in there before. There are lots of way to explore without conflict and misunderstanding. That is depending on their own.

Flat Earth

I can see from the picture all of the countries. The earth is arounded by ice. it looks like a dish.

Ocean and land, I can see China, Canada, Korea, all of the countries.

This is another picture of flat earth. I can see a ship. It is night.Looks really dangerous. Down there might be nonstop empty space. The ship almost fall down. If i was one of screw in there i might jump out to ocean.

Puppet Show

1. Our puppet show is about John Cabot's explore. Chapter 1 is about John find the fishes and go back to the King castle and tell him that there are many fishes in the far ocean. Chapter 2 is about John go to the new land in Canada. Talk with first nation people.

2. There are John Cabot, King, two first nation people, two crews, two nobles. Austin voices nobles, king. I am voices crews and first nation people and John.

3. When you mark it, just notice that we only have two people in a group.

4. We work together really well. We set a day to work on the puppet show, even if it was the beautiful sunday.

literary essay

Intro- Introductoin to all the audiences, the modern bravest men and the Middle Ages bravest men. The protagonist of “The Sniper” an inquisitive person, the sniper of Repulicans. And here is the bravest knight of Middle Ages, protagonist of “Sir. Gawain and The Green Knight” The knight of Round Table Sir.Gawain. These two protagonists have a common, they are brave and do not afraid of death.





LP1-In the story “Sir.Gawain and the Gren Knight” Sir Gawain is a brave protagonist who is true to his promise by keeping his promise to the Green Knight and shows his bravery to the King by broke the silence. Sir.Gawain is a brave chracter, he is a Person who can protect the King and show his bravery to the King. For example, he said “No one laughs at the Knights of the Round Table. Hand me that axe, and I will strike your laughing head from your body” When the Green Knight laughed at Knights of Round Table and King Arthur, Sir.Gawain stepped forward and against the Green Knight. Hence , Sir.Gawain is the first person who broke the silence and wanted to take Green Knight’s life. This means that Sir.Gawain is the most brave knight in the Knight of Round Table. He has loyalty to KingArthur. Sir.Gawain is a person who is trustworthy. He is the person with trustworthy. For instance, he said “ I do not want to die. I want to live! But still I must go to the Green Castle.” When distress happens to him, he overcome the difficulty and muddle through the bitters of life. He kept the promise to the Green Knight. In essence, he is the person who cares about a promise and wahtever happens to him, he is always trying to keepthe promise with epople. accordingly, he is the person who is trustworhy and brave. Whatever happens to him, he is always there for King Arthur. Whatever happens to him, he is trying his best to keep the promise to the othetrs. He is a brave and trustful character.





LP2- In the story "The Sniper" the protagonist is a person who is not afraid of death and have many curious. He shows his bravery by smoking during the war. He also shows that he is an inquisitive person by check the dead body of enemy. He is a brave person who not afraid of death. For example, "He paused for a moment, considering whether he should risk a smoke. It was dangerous. The flash might be seen in the darkness, and there were enimies wathing. He decided to take the risk. However, finally he is discovered by the enemy. Hence, he is a brave character. He knows that he cannot smoke during the war, but he doesn't care about it. He knows that the enemy might find him but he smokes. This prove that he is brave. He is a person who has a lot of curiosity. As an illustration, "He decided that he was a good shot, whoever he was. He wondered did he know him. Perhaps he had been in his own company before the split in the army. He dicided to risk going over to look at him" Thus, heis a curious person. Although it is dangerous , and he it is dangerous, he dicides to see who wasit. as a result, he is brave and person who has lot of curiosity.

The Best Viking i ever seen

These are the most beautiful viking ships.

The first one i like it's color, and what vikings do on the ship. They are holding a shield to maybe protect themself from their enemys. The color of ship make the ship more freash and also graceful. And the front part of ship, the dragon's head, it looks so hard.

The second one it's not really a viking ship, it is a Figures. i like it because i like figures...

The last one is A Viking ship from Gokstad viking museum. i like it because it's real viking ship, and it is long and sharp. i like the size of the ship i think it can carry about 30 people.
